1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Mackring9 Private Limited ("we," "us," or "our"), the operator of KringP-Cortex, regarding your use of our mobile apps, website, and related services (the "Service").

By using KringP-Cortex, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility

To use KringP-Cortex, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old
• Be able to enter into a legally binding agreement
• Follow these Terms and applicable laws
• Provide accurate information

3. Your Account

3.1 Creating an Account

You can sign up with email and password, or with Sign in with Google or Apple.

3.2 Keeping It Secure

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials safe
• Everything that happens under your account
• Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access (support@kringp-cortex.com)

4. What KringP-Cortex Does

KringP-Cortex is a voice-first family memory platform that lets you:

• Record voice and video diary entries with automatic transcription
• Ask chintu, your AI memory assistant, questions about your own entries
• Organize entries into vaults with per-vault sharing permissions
• Build a family tree and share photos through a private family feed
• Clone your voice (with consent) to have entries read back to you
• Printed diary books, family yearbooks, and photo albums (available to order on our website)

5. Free Service

KringP-Cortex is free to use. There are no subscriptions, no paid tiers, and no premium features locked behind payment. All core features — unlimited vaults, voice cloning, chintu, family feed — are available to every user at no cost.

Printed products (diary books, yearbooks, photo albums) are sold separately through our website. Prices are shown before you order. Payment is processed securely; we never see your card details.

If we ever offer new printed or physical products beyond those listed above, we will describe them here first. We will never charge you without your explicit consent.

6. Using KringP-Cortex

6.1 What You Can Do

We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use KringP-Cortex for your own journaling and family memory purposes.

6.2 What You Can't Do

Please don't:

• Use the Service for anything illegal
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service
• Use bots or automated tools to scrape or overload the Service
• Impersonate others or access other users' private data
• Upload malware or harmful code
• Share access to your account with others

6.3 Content Guidelines

Your journal is private, but please don't record or share content that:

• Violates laws
• Contains threats of violence
• Infringes others' intellectual property
• Contains child sexual abuse material
• Is used to harass or harm others

7. Your Content

7.1 You Own It

Your voice recordings, videos, transcriptions, photos, and journal entries belong to you. We claim no ownership over your content.

7.2 License to Us

To operate the Service, you give us permission to:

• Store and process your content on our servers
• Transcribe your recordings
• Generate structured data (spending records, places, meals) from your entries to power chintu's answers
• Display your content back to you and to people you explicitly share with (vault members, family-tree members)
• Use entries and photos you select to produce printed products you order

We will not use your identifiable content for any other purpose. We do not sell your content, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models.

7.3 Sharing Controls

You control who sees what:

• Entries are private by default
• Vault sharing is by explicit invitation only
• The family feed is visible only to your family-tree members
• You can revoke sharing access at any time

7.4 Our Intellectual Property

KringP-Cortex's design, features, branding, and code are ours. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works without permission.

8. Voice Cloning

Voice cloning is available only with your explicit, separate consent. By enabling it, you confirm that:

• The voice being cloned is your own
• You will not use the cloned voice to impersonate yourself or others to deceive anyone
• You can delete your voice profile at any time, which permanently removes the cloned voice

We will never clone your voice without consent, and your voice profile is never shared with other users.

9. chintu AI Assistant

9.1 What chintu Does

chintu answers questions about your diary entries using our own systems. Answers are grounded in your entries and include source citations where possible.

9.2 AI Isn't Perfect

• chintu's answers may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete
• chintu is a memory tool, not a professional advisor
• Do not rely on chintu for medical, financial, or legal decisions
• If chintu says it couldn't find something in your diary, that means the information wasn't in the entries it could access — not that it doesn't exist

9.3 Not an Emergency Service

KringP-Cortex is not a medical device, crisis service, or emergency response system. Entries and chats are not monitored for emergencies. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline.

10. Family Tree and Feed

• You may add family members to your family tree, including their names, relationships, and birth dates
• Only add information about others with their knowledge
• The family feed is private to your tree — there are no public profiles or public posts
• You can remove members or delete feed posts at any time

11. Printed Products

Printed diary books, yearbooks, and photo albums are ordered through our website only.

• You select which entries and photos to include
• Production and shipping times are shown before you order
• Refunds for print defects: contact support@kringp-cortex.com within 30 days
• We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers

12. Account Termination

12.1 You Can Leave Anytime

Delete your account through the app settings, or contact us through the in-app support box. This removes your entries, recordings, vaults, family tree, and voice profiles from our active systems, as described in our Privacy Policy.

12.2 We May Suspend or Terminate

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraud or illegal activity, pose a security risk, or if required by law. We will provide reasonable notice except where immediate action is needed for security.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will always be available or error-free
• Transcriptions will be perfectly accurate
• chintu's answers will always be correct
• The Service will meet all your expectations

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS.

Our total liability is limited to $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before your claim, whichever is greater. Since the core Service is free, this will typically be $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; if so, they may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to protect us from claims arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

16. Disputes

16.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, consistent with our PIPEDA obligations. Consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction may provide additional rights.

16.2 Resolution

We prefer to resolve disputes informally. Contact us through the in-app support box first. If we cannot resolve it, disputes will be handled in the courts of Ontario, Canada, except where your local consumer protection laws require otherwise.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email and update the "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

18. General

• Entire agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the complete agreement.
• Severability: If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
• No waiver: Not enforcing something once doesn't waive our right to enforce it later.
• Assignment: You may not transfer your account. We may assign these Terms in connection with a business transfer (with notice to you).
